The author comments on the judgment of the Concepción Court of Appeals, which rejected an appeal for habeas corpus filed in favor of adolescents who were deprived of their liberty and who denounced degrading treatment by Gendarmerie officials when conducting searches and searches of their bodies. In the commentary, a brief reference is made to the reinforced protection that must be offered to adolescents deprived of liberty in accordance with international human rights regulations and, in particular, to the right to be heard in legal proceedings against them. The comment ends with emphasis on the obligation of state bodies to prevent, investigate and punish institutional violence.
