The present work raises the situation of women in terms of access to police institutions. It is approached from the perspective of the organizational structure of human resources, based on the collection of quantitative and qualitative data. The objective of the article focused on the exploration of the number of women that the Mendoza police have, those who occupy positions in special units, and in terms of the number that suffer some type of workplace violence in a gender context. A descriptive design was chosen through the triangulation of information from documents, added to interviews with key actors. In addition, an analysis of primary data was included, with a quantitative approach. The result of the investigation showed that the Mendoza police have advanced at the same rate as other Latin American countries. Likewise, it was identified that the masculinized stereotype continues to predominate in the police forces analyzed. Finally, a series of recommendations produced based on contributions from various authors and researchers of this article were incorporated.
