Open Access
The Journal of Government and Public Administration (GYAP) adheres to Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA) [1], ensuring immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all its content for any user, without subscriptions or hybrid models. This explicit statement of the open access model is prominently displayed on the website, in accordance with the criteria of the SciELO Chile collection. [2]
As part of this commitment, GYAP does not charge fees for submission, evaluation, editing, or publication (including APC/CCP) and does not pass on monetary costs to authors or readers. The journal is an academic project institutionally funded by the University of Concepción, which allows it to maintain a community-based, non-profit model, aligned with the Diamond OA approach to equity and with the requirements of transparency in charges and financing.
With regard to rights, authors retain copyright and grant GYAP the right of first publication and distribution. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows the material to be copied, distributed, communicated, and adapted, provided that the authorship and original source are properly acknowledged.![]()
Consequently, reuse (including redistribution in repositories and circulation on multiple platforms) is permitted under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, which promotes maximum visibility, interoperability, and circulation of knowledge produced in the field of public administration and political science [3].
