In this article we analyze the text Basuras de Shanghai by Germán Marín (2007), which is broached from two complementary viewpoints. The first, from a poststructuralist perspective, that deterritorializes the traditional idea of literature, to demonstrate a new literary perception that is within what it is called minor literature by Deleuze and Guattari. The second, belonging to a branch of Latin American literary criticism that, from Sarmiento to Piglia, via Borges, displaces the literary latinamerican tradition and proposes a new literary perception that rejects genres and rescues the non-official stories, incorporating the irreverent use of language as a mechanism that differentiates us from other cultures and contextualizes the European theories in Latin America.
