Urban Imaginaries: The City of Santiago de Chile as a Happening (1950-1973)

Our conjectural reading is framed in a semiotic-textual line in the intent to integrate the literary speeches in a methodology that determine its global meaning as the representation of the signs of a culture. The existence of the metropolis like setting that is built in the reflection of the voices of the past, permits us –in the 21st century– to consider the urban poems of Neruda, Parra and Lihn as signs feasible of they to be reinterpreted in this alien and distant time to the authors.
