Externismo, normas sociales y experticia: un intento de superar algunos problemas de Social Goodness de Charlotte Witt

El objetivo de este trabajo es doble. En primer lugar, presentar un examen crítico de la perspectiva externista que Charlotte Witt desarrolla en Social Goodness (2023) para tratar dos cuestiones importantes en la ontología social contemporánea: la pregunta ontológica por la fuerza de las normas sociales, y la pregunta, que la autora vincula a la experticia, por las diferentes actitudes que los individuos pueden adoptar frente a esas normas. En segundo lugar, ofrecer, tras haber diagnosticado algunas insuficiencias importantes en la perspectiva de Witt, un marco externista alternativo (el pragmatismo histórico), que explica tanto la institución de las normas sociales como las actitudes que diferentes tipos de expertos pueden adoptar respecto a éstas, a partir de ubicarlas al interior de procesos históricos.
