Abstract

This article is framed within the studies on vitality of Mapuzugun in the Araucanía. An exploratory study is proposed about the inter-generational sociolinguistic trajectories. The objective is to understand the displacement and loss of the language in the context of the cultural changes experienced by speakers of different generations of the same family group. The analysis includes the trajectories of two Mapuche family groups in a temporal arch that ranges from the period of occupation of the territory to the present day.
