Fabricating “truths”, hidding history and “building” university

Abstract

The paper presents three things. A conception in the Chilean context of the purposes served by education in general which claims to identify a key component of higher education; a speculation about the peculiarities of the period stretching between late modernity and the current “digital era”; and an elucidation of universities as engines that produce fake-news.
