This article presents a systematic review of the scientific literature on the life projects of school-aged children and adolescents. The main objective is to analyze conceptual and procedural trends regarding life projects to understand how they are defined and addressed in education. Following the PRISMA methodology, 28 articles published between 2018 and 2022 were analyzed. The results show two procedural trends: the curricular inclusion of life projects as a subject and their approach through extracurricular activities. Conceptually, different perspectives converge on the definition of life projects as a process of meaning-making oriented towards the future. The advantages and disadvantages of each trend are discussed, as well as the theoretical and practical implications for the design of programs that promote the development of life projects in adolescents. The authors conclude that the implementation of life project programs should be adapted to the sociocultural context and consider teacher training and the participation of the educational community.
