Abstract

The article develops a reading of the Chilean novel Patas de perro in his possible configuration as picaresque novel. This allows to pay attention, on the one hand, to features of configuration so much structural as semantics and, on the other hand, to approach from a different perspective two central subject matters of the LatinAmerican contemporary studies: the marginality and the construction and validation of the subject. Likewise, it makes possible a rereading of the classic Spanish tradition on having warned that it raises problematic that they have very much of current.
