EXPLORATIONS OF PAIN FROM WRITINGS OF THE SELF IN PRINCIPIA AND PLANETAS HABITABLES

Abstract

This article studies the works Principia and Planetas habitables, published in 2018 and 2023, respectively, by Elisa Díaz Castelo. It is examined, in a comparative way, the diverse explorations of pain and illness that, from a sort of poetic autofiction, are approached as a line of continuity in the literary trajectory of this author. Under the postulates of theorists such as Miraux, Amaro, Sontag and Wolf, among others, it is shown that the scope of this type of writing is to offer a factual support to the poems from personal experience, this in order to touch the reader so that through his emotional perceptibility access to some understanding of corporeality and its dimensions.
