The book ¿Dónde estás? Ontología del teléfono móvil [Where Are You? An Ontology of the Mobile Phone] by the philosopher Maurizio Ferraris (b. 1956, Turin) was first published in Italian in 2005 by Tascabili Bompiani. The Spanish edition, translated by Carmen Revilla Guzmán, was published two years later by Marbot Ediciones.
Dr. Maurizio Ferraris is a professor of philosophy at the University of Turin and the director of the LabOnt (Laboratory of Ontology). A thinker trained within European philosophical postmodernism—a follower of Hans-Georg Gadamer, a colleague of Jacques Derrida, and a direct student of Gianni Vattimo—he distanced himself from this framework of thought in the 1990s.
