A Critique to the Kantian Interpretations of the Tractatus
Keywords:
Wittgenstein, kantian philosophy, Stenius, theoretical reason, practical reason, synthetic propositions a prioriAbstract
The aim of this work consists in evaluating in a critical way the traditional connection established between the Kantian Philosophy and the Wittgenstein’s ideas in the Tractatus logico-philosophicus. It will be tried to show that Erik Stenius’ proposal, which characterizes Wittgenstein as a kantian philosopher, is not quite exact if we consider other important elements of the kantian philosophy not mentioned by Stenius. In this sense, it will be argued, against the traditional point of view, that it is possible to detect a negative reformulation of Kantianism in the Tractatus instead of a close positive identification.
