Abstract

This article attempts at showing and critically analyzing the notion of philosophy as rigorous science proposed by Husserl in 1911. This work explores the origin, in modern thought, of Husserl’s notion of philosophy and it examines the distinction between philosophy as world view and philosophy as rigorous or strict science.
