Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce Enrique Molina Garmendia and his philosophical work as an original thinker in America, studying the work De lo  espiritual en la vida humana. It reflects on his ontology, the conception of the spirit and its manifestations: personal, objective and objectified. There will be a reflection on the role of freedom in the spirit realization. It explains the concept of new idea in relation to right and as a corollary the definition of progress. It indicate the three ways of realization of spirit in history, noting the position it is Latin America and the need to move towards a more complete spiritual realization, proposing as a solution the conquest of economic independence.
