El Political Liberalism and Neoliberalism

Centered on the need to clarify political terminology, this work explores the evolution from classical liberalism to contemporary neoliberalism. The text traces the origins of liberalism as a limit to absolute power founded on natural rights, while denouncing the historical exclusion of women from this framework, particularly in Locke's thought. Conversely, it highlights John Stuart Mill’s shift toward gender equality and individual autonomy. In analyzing neoliberalism, the work identifies it as an ideology that prioritizes market efficiency over human dignity, exacerbating social inequality and the feminization of poverty. Ultimately, the text advocates for humanizing the market through democratic participation, equity, and investment in human capital to overcome current crises of meaning
