Dilthey and the Philosophy of Philosophy

This article attempts at stating concisely the idea W. Dilthey had conceived about philosophy. The three prevailing conceptions of the world, according to Dilthey, in the history of philosophy are analyzed here. These conceptions irrationally guide our preferences and lead our estimations, thus characterizing the different ways of understanding philosophy.
