LOCKSS is an open code program developed by the Library of the University of Stanford that allows libraries to preserve selected web journals searching regularly in registered journals to collect new published content and archive it. Each archive is continually validated with records from other libraries, so that any damaged or lost content can be restored using those records or the journal itself.

The archived numbers can be viewed in the LOCKSS Publisher Manifest  (https://revistas.udec.cl/index.php/atenea/gateway/lockss ). In this way, the articles are progressively archived, guaranteeing that the stored digital information remains and can continue to be used in the future.
