Abstract

Th e article analyzes the poems that Jacint Verdaguer dedicated to the admired Teresa of Jesus, in diff erent periods of his life. From the writing context of each poem and the assessment of the diff erent linguistic, rhetorical and emotional elements that make then up, we will draw a hypothesis about the process of renewal of Verdaguerian mysticism that culminated in “Teresa”, into Flors del Calvari, poem structured in three parts: the narrative contextualization, the deaf dialogue with Jesus and the dramatization or humanization of Jesus, characteristics that make it an excellent and unique piece of mystical love.
