The brief epistolary to Unamuno that we present here consists of seven unpublished manuscript letters that the Chilean poet and prosist Flora Abasolo sent to the Spanish thinker between 1907 and 1911. The exchange of letters arises from the writer’s interest in getting Unamuno to write, in the newspaper La Nación de Buenos Aires, a review of the book La personalidad política y la América del porvenir (1907), written by her father the philosopher Jenaro Abasolo (Santiago, 1833-1884). Flora Abasolo’s intention is that a prominent figure of world letters, such as Unamuno, should help to achieve the recognition and enhancement of her father’s work.
