Historiografía Antártica chilena, 1939-1959: obras, autores y contenidos

Abstract

Twenty-six works of national authors that deal with the Chilean Antarctic between the years 1939 and 1958 are identified and analysed. Their principal thematic and methodological characteristics of these literary, juridical and historical works are examined, certain international facts and the Chilean defence of its Antarctic position are emphasised, and an historical appreciation of these works is given.
