Comparative researching that we are presenting about Italian and Spanish inmigrants pretends to research about the demographic profile, regional origins, labours and wedding behaviour, towards population census, national Register of the Italiuan and Spanish viceconsulateship in Iquique, 1860-1940, and the registration books of weddings of Iquique's Civil Register. Results permit to say that Italian and Spanish groups grew during the change of the century, predominating your male on active laboral ages, as well as regions that gave the most important number of Italian and Spanish inmigrants were from the North. On the economic ambitus, both groups worked on tertiary activities and were asimilated through marriage.
