This article explores how Greek studies were established in the curricula of schools and universities since the colonial era to the early decades of the twentieth century, with special emphasis on the nineteenth century period of consolidation of the elites, who were active participants and influence in the formation of libertarian ideals and intellectual models that were projected into the twentieth century. This study allows us to appreciate the contribution and presence of classical studies in the curricula of schools and universities as a new look at the history of Chile from the cultural perspective of the classical legacy.
