This article is aimed to the ways in which the executive branch of government in Argentina was formed during the 19th century presented through three arguments. The second argument is referred to a historical nature and revises the classic image of a narrowly limited executive power in its courses of action and finale The third one is methodological and aims to distinguish the double dimension assumed by the concept of concentration of power throughout the period: on the one hand, it is referred to the principle of division of powers, and on the other hand, binomial centralism / federalism.
