Abstract

The mediation between divinity and man always has played a prominent role in any human community. This role consists in transmitting divine decisions to mortal beings who have suffered from unknowns reasons that holds them for the future. Examples of this are the Hebrew prophets, who have had the mission of both announcing the future (as the prophets) as reporting what future is going to forge in the present. For trying to understand the figure of the Prophet, it is necessary to approach to the historical context of Israel and the corpus of its beliefs.
