Abstract

This article reviews some of the first strategies used by Pewenche groups in Alto Bio Bio to accommodate to the reduccional situation, characterized by the asymmetrical relationship that existed with respect to the Chilean society, becoming an ethnic or indigenous group (community). It will be characterized and exhibited the level of interactions both in intragroup as outgroup.
