The following article proposes an understanding of the intellectual components of the political European culture in the context of Atlantic liberal revolutions, and the intellectual source of political legal ideas which circulated Europe and achieved a normative understanding of the modern State in the 19th century. For this, we analyze the legal historical work of the Catholic theologian José Vidal Origen de los errores revolucionarios y su remedio (Valencia 1827), which is key to emphasize the interactions and scientific exchanges in the field of law among Hispanic and Germanic intellectual cultures in modern times.
