Abstract

The notion of good practices has frequently appeared in plans and measures aimed at promoting a just transition toward low-carbon systems. However, its application has often lacked rigor, overlooking key aspects such as the need to demonstrate repetition over time and the involvement of specific actors. Moreover, the term has frequently been used in a merely evaluative way, without clearly defining what constitutes a “practice.” To address this gap, this paper identifies and analyzes the transition practices of a specific territory in Chile, assessing them through justice-related dimensions within an interdisciplinary framework that incorporates a historical perspective.
