Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze the influence neo-liberalism had in Chile on the level of local spaces, in this case the Greater Concepción area. In order to approach this matter, we will study how the civil-military dictatorship and Chicago-trained economists managed to position their economic project at a regional level through specific plans and initiatives. In addition, we will also identify and characterize some economic actors of the period and the places of sociability and diffusion through which neoliberal ideas circulated considering their implementation.
