Coeducation in the primary school recess: a proposal for transformation from the students

This article contains a proposal for improvement, from a co-educational perspective, of the current management and planning of the playground periods of an educational center in Lleida, to enhance the educational use of recreation time. Based on the resources available in the center and the opinion of the students, a gender differentiation is observed in the activities carried out during playground periods. The main objective of the study is to promote an inclusive schoolyard project that favors the coeducation of students in Primary school. The methodology used is descriptive, where the survey is used as an information collection instrument. Results show that more than 50% of the students surveyed, regardless of gender and the primary school cycle they arein, consider the distribution of spaces and activities within the playground, adequate. Finally, there is a proposal of activities to achieve more co-educational playtime periods.
