POR UNA ERÓTICA DE LA ESCRITURA. DISPOSITIVOS NEOBARROCOS EN FRENTE A UN HOMBRE ARMADO (CACERÍAS DE 1848) DE MAURICIO WACQUEZ

Abstract

Starting from the question of the dialogue that Mauricio Wacquez’s work establishes with its context, this article analyses his writing, specifically Frente a un hombre armado (Cacerías de 1848), from the concordance that the novel establishes with neo-baroque devices, as it is articulated from an eroticism of writing that modu­lates, from the constant mutation and escape, the construction of a subject in crisis, located in a universe in constant movement, through which a multiplicity of masks pass. From this perspective, the conclusions of this analysis aim to place Wacquez’s work in dialogue with other novels that use the same devices, tracing a path that links it to a tradition of writing by Chilean authors, all set against a neo-Baroque background.
