LOCKSS is an open-code program developed by the Stanford University Library allowing libraries to preserve selected web journals by regularly seeking in registered journals to gather and archive newly published content. Each file is continually validated with records from other libraries, so that any lost or damaged content can be restored by using these records or the journal itself.

Archived issues can be reviewed in the LOCKSS Editorial Manifesto https://revistas.udec.cl/index.php/Ergonomia_Investigacion/gateway/lockss . Articles are thus progressively archived, guaranteeing that the digital data stored therein will endure and be reusable in the future.
