The information was collected through a survey of managers and methodologists and once the information had been obtained, processed and analyzed, the postgraduate course was designed. Results: It was statistically shown that there is a very significant relationship between the level of preparation and the years of experience. Conclusions: The characterization of teaching managers and methodologists showed insufficient preparation on issues related to planning and teaching organization. Which led to the design of a professional improvement course program on methodological work, specifically, the planning, organization and control of the educational teaching process in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Sagua la Grande, approved by the corresponding structures.
