Abstract

We present synthesized results of exploratory research whose purpose was to answer questions related to job accidents in women from the nursing team in two Chilean teaching hospitals. Results of only two goals are analyzed: descriptive characteristics of this population, job accidents reported and statistical association among variables. This research improves knowledge of job accidents in nurses and auxiliary nurses because this topic is not explored in depth in other researches developed in Chile, and theoretical assumptions, derived from gender social relationships, are used as an analytic tool for the understanding of these events.
