Introducción al número monográfico: Filosofía analítica y metafísica. Perspectivas iberoamericanas
Resumen
La relación entre la tradición analítica de la filosofía y la metafísica es, cuanto menos, compleja. Por lo general, se interpreta el surgimiento de la filosofía analítica, a finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX, como una impugnación a la presunta oscuridad de la metafísica. Este entendimiento se fundamenta en uno de los episodios fundacionales de la tradición analítica, que se plasma en la oposición entre Bertrand Russell (1940), quien se centró en la lógica y la naturaleza del lenguaje, y el idealismo y el monismo de F. H. Bradley (1930). Otro episodio clave de esta tradición se encuentra en las reflexiones de Gottlob Frege (1884) sobre la noción de consecuencia lógica, que en gran medida nacen de su intento por esclarecer la naturaleza del conocimiento matemático, una cuestión que, a primera vista, parece ajena a la metafísica. Además, su oposición al psicologismo se erige como un punto esencial en el desarrollo de la tradición analítica.
