This study article deals with the interpretation of meanings attributed to the concept of Middle leadership in public education by the management of a Municipal Education Administration Department (DAEM) and Local public education services (SLEP), in relation to the years of its implementation. The study is situated within the context of public education, which poses a significant challenge for the Chilean State and its citizens.
