Abstract

Consensus exists in the value Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) offers to professional nursing practice, in the systematic search for answers using a reflective and interpretative approach, and in building on studies that convert research findings into nursing practice. This article proposes didactic strategies that allow the development of competency in reflective critical thinking and information searching in professional nursing education curricula which would result in evidence-based nursing practice, as an ongoing process, in at attempt to improve the quality of the health care offered.
