Abstract

Drug abuse produces organic and mental suffering to the individual and multidimensional changes that are reflected back to society, family, school and work. This paper presents an analysis on drug use in nursing and the relationship between use and abuse of these substances and the world of nursing work, in order to comment on the nurse as a person who might use drugs facing labor problems. Considerations are made on the work of nurses and occupational problems, then we try to understand better the relationship between drugs and users and fnally, generating suggestions for minimizing the problem. Provides suggestions to minimize the problem and highlights the need for greater attention to health and continuing education on drugs, designed to expand capacity to cope with this problem in the same workers.
