Material and Method: Descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 365 elderly people, of both sexes, diagnosed with cancer and who were hospitalized in a Center of High Complexity in Oncology. Two instruments were used for data collection, the socioeconomic, demographic and clinical questionnaire and the Patient Satisfaction Instrument. Results: A good level of satisfaction was evidenced, with emphasis on the technical-professional domain. There was an association between the variables sex, color, origin, income, history of cancer in the family, smoking and alcoholism with satisfaction of nursing care. Conclusion: The importance of nurses to know the satisfaction of elderly patients undergoing cancer treatment is highlighted, as their care, in addition to being humanized, must be geared to their particularities.
