SYSTEMIC AND OPERATIVE NURSING CARE PROCESS APPLICATION IN SOME MARACAIBO HOSPITAL INSTITUTIONS

We determined the relation between a systematic and operative application of the nursing attention process (NAP), its institutional standardization (STANDARD), the attention protocol (PROCO) and the acceptance degree of this method. In a population of 252 nurses I, we applied a questionnaire-interview and the Information obtained was processes through a statistical analysis system (SAS). NAP was frequently applied by 76.8% in a non systematic way, its standarization was unfamiliar for 72%, 64% did no fulfill it and 95.6% accepted it. The attention protocol (PROCO) is useful and necessary in a 85%. Between NAP, PROCO and STANDARD, there is a direct relation with a significance of a = 1%, in both, a Venezuelan institute of social security and prívate institutions. NAP is not applied in a systematic and operative way. The relation between NAP, PROCO and STANDARD is also determined by the type of hospitalary institution.
