Abstract

Elderly individuáis who are discharged from the hospital are belived to be at a great vulnerability since they need the diminuition of the functional reserves makes this process slow and difficult. However, the family is considered to play na important role at this moment because they take care of the elderly individuáis and keep on giving assistance. Being so, it was possible to obtain the following Information from among 73 elderly individuáis who were discharged: independen! of sex, most of them live with their family, receive their help and the relationship with their family was considered to be favorable to their health.
