Abstract

The objetive of the investigation was to learn about of the experience of an ambulatory clientele frequenting the endocrinology ambulatory of the Hospital Clínico. The ethnographic method of spradley was used revealing the metaphors of the disease that reflect a fatalistic and resignated visión leading to pain and suffering in their existence.
The central topic (theme) was healing very difficult and shows the ambiguity of their perception, and behavior with themselves and the others. The knowledge obtained contributes to a visión of the process health disease and the nursing care within the cultural context for in improvement of the practice.
