Study that analyzes in two groups of pregnant women in third trimester, cared by different models, selected attitudes strongly influenced by lite styles: overweight, oral health and accidents. The purpose is to count with information that allows an early nurse intervention directed to parents, to form healthful behaviors in children. A modified versión of an attitude scale, Likert type, already used in other studies was applied. Results reveal that pregnant women who received an intervention with support of the self-care model have better attitudes, demonstrated by average points obtained in the scale, and points obtained by mothers categorized with favorable attitudes. This difference in favor of the study group is statistically significant for attitudes related to accidents. With respect to the association of attitudes with social and demographic variables, the only statistical difference found, in favor of the study group, was with the educational level in women with primary education.
