Abstract

The aim of this descriptive and relational study refferred to the nurses's attitude towards the oíd people, was realized in the Service of Health and Centers of Primary attention of the Comuna of Talcahuano. Dates were collected using an instrument based on the Tuckman and Lorge's Scale Towards Oíd People and Grade Scale Satisfaction with Life. The statistic analysis of data was made through the "t" student and chi-square methods.

According to the results we conclude:
1. An important group of nurses showed indifferent attitude towards the oíd people.
2. There are significative differences among the nurses's attitude with the experiences of caring oíd people
in the home.
