A descriptive study oriented to evalúate the clinical nursing fields at (an) undergraduate level of the Universities of the country assigned to the Council of Rectors in those academic units of more than 15 years of experience in the training of the Nursing professionals. Clinical fields within the surgical-medical and general pediatrics were evaluated according to valuable judgements of students, academic and clinical nurses who participated in the formation of students. Stake's Model was used as a base, to which special emphasis was given to the participative evaluation integrating essential elements as observations, procedures and judgement of the evaluators which are at the same time participants of the teaching-learning process. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA test and Duncan's test were used for data analysis. Among the results, it can be distinguished that most of the universities count on high-quality clinical fields. Analyzing separately the variables, it can be noted that the evaluations of students and academic nurses regarding clinical fields are of bad quality, while, clinical nurses are evaluated as of high quality; among the best evaluated clinical Services are pediatrics being higher than that of the surgical-medical. Once the results allow to elabórate a quality profile comparing the different clinical fields of the studied
Universities, a necessary background to elabórate optimization plans is needed.
