Abstract

The article reviews the concept of functionality in the elders, within an international and national context, mentioning researches carried out in our country and some general facts in relation to the most used instruments of evaluation, in addition to the function of the health field and especially of the nursing field. Finally, it proposes an activity program devoted to increase the elder’s functionality.
