Values and preferences of the patient and his family should also be considered and assessed. The generation of evidence based medicine is a new tool to be employed when the need to apply efficient and effective clinical practice is critical. Prestigious health centers and institutions have already developed new guidelines for the classification of available scientific evidence. Thus, they can guide daily medical practitioners when revision of pertinent scientific paper is necessary for specific cases to be solved.
