Abstract

The migrant child population living in conditions of social and economic inequality is at risk of experiencing physical and mental health problems. Therefore, an integrative review was
conducted to analyze the health situation of international migrant children as reported in scientific journal publications between 2014 and 2022. Using the PRISMA uidelines, observational studies published in English and Spanish were selected. A total of eleven (11)
articles were found, highlighting needs and issues regarding oral and nutritional hygiene, among others, with identified deficiencies and a variety of associated factors. In summary, child health problems should be addressed through public health initiatives, with an integral and cultural perspective that recognizes the unique conditions of each child's migratory situation.
Consequently, nursing, as a science committed to the welfare and comprehensive care of individuals and communities, must play an active role in leading projects and fundamental strategies to address global child health challenges. This not only strengthens its credibility but also emphasizes its essential role in promoting and caring for health worldwide.
