Resumo

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of a dental model manufactured using the CAD / CAM milling method and the 3D printing method. Materials and method: This study was carried out in sequence of the digitalization of the master model using an intraoral scanner, the manufacture of work models (milling model, multiple jet printing model and color jet printing model) using the data of scanning the master model, the digitalization of the work model through the use of a laboratory scanner, the superimposition of the digital data of the master model and the work models through inspection software and three-dimensional analysis. Ten measurements per group were performed by a professional. One-way ANOVA and the Tukey post-hoc test were performed to compare the difference between the three groups. Results: The overall difference in the models caused by the manufacturing method was measured as 73.05?m ± 9.64?m, 84.52?m ± 4.78?m and 96.05?m ± 5.43?m in the milling group, the multi-jet printing group and the group of color jet printing, respectively. The difference according to the shape of the teeth, the abutment teeth between the three parts was recorded with the lowest values ??such as 19.18 ± 2.08?m, 77.10 ± 7.48?m and 56.63 ± 4.58?m. Conclusions: the dental models manufactured by the method of milling CAD / CAM presented a precision superior to the models manufactured by the method of 3D printing. Therefore, the use of optimized CAD software and appropriate materials is crucial to the manufacturing precision of dental models.
