Variaciones en la circulación de la atmósfera sobre Chile asociadas con anomalías de precipitaciones.

Abstract

Using re-analysis information, this study makes a climatic description of the changes at the vertical zonal component of wind and air temperature over Chilean coast. Further, the study includes an analysis of the anomalies when the phenomena of El Niño and La Niña take place. We show that an excess of rainfall in the central zone of Chile, can be associated with an increasing intensity of the zonal-wind as well as of the temperature. The opposite situation occurs with La Niña event.
